PBS reference number

I submitted my HSMP to T1 General application at the end of March and I don't have my PBS reference number letter received so I requested HO to resent it to me.

I received a letter today with my reference number but I am not sure whether it is the correct one.

So what is the format of PBS reference number?

The one I received is one letter plus 7 digits: Y1111111.

Is that the correct one?

If it is send by Home Office itself, it is correct. What else you can do about it if it not; except worrying about it.

Dont worry as long as it came from HO and says HomeOffice UK BA on top

and the letter is something like

Our reference no: PBxxxxxxxx/xx
Applicant name: your name

and something like...

we acknowledge the receipt of the application above and any associate dependent applications................

but nothing matches as above... then PUT CLEARLY what it says if you want clear advise...

I got my correct PBS reference number from Home Office finally.

The one Y1111111 is Home Office reference number. The PBS Reference no is the same as tvn_ramesh provided: PBxxxxxxxx/xx

Now I am waiting for the result.
