STudent visa rejection how it effects

Hi,

I'm a new member to this wonderful forum. My query is that , i got rejected once by UK when i have applied for student visa in 2003. Now i plan to apply tier-1 visa..will there be an effect if i apply for Tier-1 visa as i got rejected for a student visa in 2003.

The reason i got rejected was due to insufficient funds in 2003.

Please guide me on this...

You should be fine, but make sure you mention about the rejection and the reasons on your Tier 1 application form.

Thanks lot for the swift response. i meet the current criteria for Tier-1 and i get 85 points and maintaing funds of 3000 UK Pounds since 2 months. Even i had Been to Philippines on a Business visa for 3 months through my Employer.
