interview the spouse

Post by meham » Sun May 08, 2005 4:35 pm

i know in the usa its common for immigration officials to come to your house when applying for a spousal visa. is it the same here in the uk. when applying for a spousal visa in the uk would they make an interview or come unanounced to your house or would they make an appointment first. how does it work here. at least if it would happen.

Your wife is already in the UK? And now wants a spouse visa? What sort of visa does she have at present? A fiancée visa?

Anyway, whilst it is clearly within the powers of IND to make a home visit, in practice that would be very unusual, and would probably only happen if they had some reason to be suspicious about the application.
