Can I apply for HSMP while on student visa?

Can I apply for HSMP while on student visa?

Hi,

I can qualify for the HSMP scheme with my current credentials and experience. But I would like to pursue a particular post-grad course of study in the UK first. So I will be entering the UK on a student visa.

My questions are: Can I change to the HSMP while on a student visa? The post-grad course I am interested in lasts for 10-months. Is this enough time to for my HSMP application to be processed?

yes you can apply for hsmp while on student visa. however to be able to switch to hsmp visa, you must have graduated. so it is better if you apply for hsmp closer to your date of graduation.

nowadays it is taking anything from 1-4 weeks for hsmp approval. keep your fingers crossed that this time frame is maintained when u apply
