Tier (1) general visa approved today. In visa Dependents=0?

Post by KiranKodati » Mon May 25, 2009 7:36 am

Hello All
I applied for Tier (1) general visa on Apr 29th in Tokyo, Japan and I received passport today on May 25, 2009 (on my bday :) ). I got it in exactly 15 working days.

Like others, I am also one of the most benefited from this forum, Thanks for all those who helped in this forum, especially push_hsmp and other seniors.

Now I have a question, while I am applying for visa, I mentioned that my dependents will travel later, and will not accompany me while I am travelling. But I attached my wife and son passport copies, DOB cert of my son etc.

In my visa, it is mentioned that Dependents=0.
I am just worried about this that I am planning to apply for dependent visa for wife+son now. will this create a problem. Why they have mentioned dependents=0 on my visa inspite of I provided details about my wife and son?

Any answer is appreciated.

This is fine.

When you will get your wife's and son's passports stamped like yours. They will also show 0 dependents in their visa as well :)

Even if you had applied for your dependants at the same time, your VISA would have said Dependants=0. This seems like a standard practice and does not affect application of dependants separately.
