some questions about in-country HSMP application--urgent

Post by maggie » Mon Apr 19, 2004 4:54 pm

Is there someone who applies for HSMP in UK?

I had prepared to post my documents to homeoffice several days ago,

but when I searching some information on Web, I found the policy about

applying in UK changed from 1th April. Those who apply for it in UK

should post the HSMP form and following documents to the Doncaster

address with 150 pounds. After you recieve the approval letter from

homeoffice, you then post the FLR form, passport and two photos with 121

pounds to Cannock address.

my question is

Is the process right?

if it means when I post the HSMP form to homeoffice firstly, I do not
need post the passport together?

when can I post the FLR form to HO, if after I get the approval letter from
HO?

If someone knows this clearly, pls tell me as soos as possible.

thanks

Yes, the policy has changed from 1 April 2004.

Doncaster office will return your passport soon.

so does this mean that for applications after April 1 they don´t need your passport unless you get approval?

1st time 'in country' applicants

1. You should no longer send your passport with the initial HSMP application form ( either under 28 or standard) to Doncaster.

2. If you included a passport in an application received by Doncater after 1 April 2004, it will be returned to you to facilitate the application for Further Leave To Remain - where HSMP approval has been granted.

3. Once you receive the HSMP approval letter then send it with passport and other relevant documents to the Cannock Address.

Extensions

1. Send application including passport and evidence of economic activity to Cannock.
