Travel date to UK - Query

Post by anishpadela » Wed May 27, 2009 12:55 pm

Dear All,

My Tier 1 was stamped in the month of April with visa valid from 1st June 2009. Now I am planning to travel in the month of August. Does UK authorities have any specific rule about travel date and generaly in how many days we can travel to UK from the visa validity date???

No rule for travel to the UK. Once Visa is stamped, you can travel any time as long as visa is valid. Did you ask them to stamp visa from June 2009 and they agreed? Usually they stamp visa from the date when u made application.. (after verifying everything)

See when you are applying you have to state your intended date of travel which should be within 3 months from the date of application....the visa validity wil start from the date till 3 years.

Just one related question,, e.g If someone is submitting his/her application on 15th June 2009, Can he/she mention the intended date of Travel right after month. i.e. 15th July 2009

Thanks
