Guys have you read this report:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/manag ... uk-workers

Although at on place it mentions only Tier 2, but I personally think that this will impact Tier 1 guys also.

Another headache from UK Govt.

It's about time this government started looking after its citizens, still too late for them to win the next election but it's better late than never i suppose.

not all I suppose...

If you're in T-2 and your job is in the shortage list...your chance is bit higher I suppose than those not in the list.

If you're in T-1, I guess this will depend on your line of work as the Uk job market is really in bad shape so to speak.

I think this has nothing to do with Tier-1.
After getting Tier-1 and moving to U.K. You are an U.K. based worker.

The link says only about Tier-2 and nothing else. This is the same system which is followed in rest of Europe which U.K. has recently adopted.

Anyhow, below is the current priorities given for recruiting people in U.K. :-

1. British people.
2. U.K. citizen.
3. EU.
4. Non EU with U.K experience.
5. Non EU.

Cheers,
Guj
