ILR - HSMP JR Question

Post by rajesh.kishore » Mon Jun 01, 2009 6:51 pm

Hi Guys,

I am on HSMP and considering applying for ILR under JR.

What documents would I need with following Details:

Sept 15 2005: Workpermit. Have bank Statement showing clearly the money receipt but only 3 Mo payclips and no P60.

Feb 2006 HSMP. Changed Job in March 2006 with Employment in own company until Feb 2008. 4 Months no contract and hence no pay slips. Last 9 months since July have payslips and Aril 2009 have P60. I want to apply as soon as I can possibly in August 20 keeping 28 days in mind. However I have been out of uk for a total of 74 days.

So the question is, a) Does 4 year exclude those 74 days? (in other words am I eligible to apply in last week of August?

b) What documents are required?

c) Is it better to apply in person - PEO or by post?

d) Is appointment letters from employer required since I am showing myself as Employed even during my limited company days. (Paying significant salary and no dividend)

e) I have a house on mortgage of which I have already paid 50% and 40% is savings. So in effect I am 10% short.

Does it help to go through lawyer? If yes who is the most reliable. I have had no employment for few months hence the concern and do not want to let HO use discretion which depends on Caseworkers judgements. (I have staked everything to UK)

Loads of questions :) replies would be greatly appreciated.
