spusal visa application pakistan

Post by b92753 » Tue Jul 07, 2009 10:46 am

Hi there i got married last month, and i want to call my wife over to the uk. All my paper work is complete. I am currently on long term sick leave from work due to a muscle condition i suffer from however my job is still there for me till i am fit enough to resume work. I have included a letter from my work place which states that i am currentyl on sick leave buy employed by the company and my earnings prior to sick leave were 155£ forthnightly. I also own a free hold property which i receive rental income from of 400£ a month. When my wife comes over we will be both staying with my parents who will be paying all the utilty bills, food and accomodation expenses. When my wife arrives in the uk she intends to open a tailors business to support her self. Me being off sick but still receiving a rental income of 400£, is this sufficient amount of funds to call my wife over ?? Also i have savings abour 2000 pounds in my bank.

could the entry clearance officers refuse the visa on income basis ? saying that i dont earn sufficient amount of funds ?

please advice

thanks

Most likely yes.

£155 fortnightly is not enough for a couple to live on.

Minimum is about £105per week. Even the £400 you get is less than the amount you need to live on.

Whilst you can stay and live with your parents, if you become financially dependant on them, your visa will be refused. You must be able to show that you have a decent wage coming in to support you both. A fortnightly wage of £155 is not enough.

If you are not working, are you claiming any benefits, because if you , then that is another reason for a refusal

Remember third party support is not tolerated. You can say you will be living with your parents but you must show that you contribute to the household....maybe making a spreadsheet explaining your expenses? Also maybe you should try to go back to work and get more hours? In order for your wage to meet the minimum requirements?
