Schengen Visa for an Indian Passport Holder

I am an Indian Passport holder in the UK on a HSMP visa for the last 1 month or so. I am paid a short term allowance by my company. Naturally, I dont have any payslips though i get paid my Indian salary back home.
I noticed that one of the requirements is 3 Months payslips. Will the consulate accept the fact that i dont have a payslip or a bank statement ( I can counter the bank statement part with travellers cheques) ?
