HSMP to Tier 1 General Extension Query

Post by shaekhs » Fri Jul 10, 2009 8:53 pm

Hi,

I came to UK on HSMP. I had my Visa Stamped during November 2007. The visa was stamped with effective from December 6th 2007 for 2 years until December 5th 2009. But I landed in UK on Jan 21st 2008.

My question is when I extend my HSMP into Tier 1 General, will my Visa/stay extended until December 5th 2012 or Jan 20th 2013.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Raj

December 5th 2012 unless you request otherwise and caseworker is very generous (i.e. you are lucky)

Hi push HSMP,

Thanks for your reply. So if I have to apply for ILR, then should I get a second extension for HSMP?Is there a rule for doing a second extension?

Thanks,
Raj

Yes. In my opinion there is no rule that stops you from seeking a second extension.
