Permanent residency

Hi

I have applied for my permanent residency on 9 March 2009 based on ten years legal stay.

I have still not go back my reply from Home Office. Can anyone let me know what should I do.

Also there was a gap in between and not sure this will cause a problem- my student visa expired on 31 August 2004 and I got my approval for work permit on 1 September 2004 from work permit UK employment document.

I came back to UK from Malaysia after attending my sisters wedding on 14 September 2004. The gap here.

When I applied for WP application via a lawyer on 1 October Home Office rejected and draw a line on my passport as at 31 August 2004 and asked me to return back home.

However, I fought and win the case and they grated me WP from 1 may 2005. Will this cause a problem?

Hope someone can shade some comment . If the ten year rule doesnt go thrue can I apply through the work permit (WP) route on 1 September 2009.
