My degree is recognized in the NARIC database but 10 points of English is not showing in the point based assessment form. In this case can I submit a letter from my university stating that the medium of instructions was in English.

Presuming you are checking for your Masters Degree, as an alternative, you can submit the letter from degree Awarding body i.e. University along with your application.

One more option would be since you have got Masters degree, i presume you also completed Bachelors Degree, in that case please chcek if you Bachlors degree+University+Course is listed in the PBS Calculator and if it does exsist there then you can utilize those points for English... Goodluck

Chethan - i understood his mail tht his Master's degree is recognised for educational points but 10points are not allocated for English language so i am recommending here to use his master's degree for educational points and Bachelors degree for english points if thye are recognised.. hope i am in line with the answer required for the question;

is it making 'any'/'some' sense??

Given the information in the initial post, I have presumed he tried his degrees(including bachelors and masters) though member never mentioned which degree he tried in the calculator..hence adviced him below:

i presumed it as masters again thinking he is initial new applicant and masters is the min degree required to qualify..

That rule was under old HSMP. They have now inserted this further criteria.

I am new to this group and planning for Tier 1.

My Question is regarding the Medium of Instuction only.

My Post Graduate Education is from Distance Education and it is there in the points based calculator & it is also there in the Degree taught in English one in Point based calculator. I am able to selet my PG Degree in both my Qualification & Degree taught in English in the PBS and PBS has awarded me points for both.

For your info. My Graduation is from Hindi Medium. I am already holding a Work Permit and in UK.

Still I have to produce Medium of Instruction letter from the University.

Please advice me.

As you say your Degree and qualification both are recognised by the PBS system and when you select them they are awarding points for Both (Educational opints and English Points)..

in that case you do not need to submit again seperate letter from university.. you jus tneed to enclose the PBS Summary sheet..

My wife has done Masters and PHD from USA. Is necessary that college listed in PBS has to be for bachelor?. coz i remember they didn't considered college you done your masters (As it is not 4 year course) I might be wrong here. This is for English requirement.

No that is not mandatory. Many colleges I know only do Masters and are still listed in PBS list.
