Presuming you are checking for your Masters Degree, as an alternative, you can submit the letter from degree Awarding body i.e. University along with your application.sandeepak wrote:Dear Sir/ Madam,

Please provide guidance for the below query:
1. I have a query regarding English language requirement.
My degree is recognized in the NARIC database but 10 points of English is not showing in the point based assessment form. In this case can I submit a letter from my university stating that the medium of instructions was in English.

One more option would be since you have got Masters degree, i presume you also completed Bachelors Degree, in that case please chcek if you Bachlors degree+University+Course is listed in the PBS Calculator and if it does exsist there then you can utilize those points for English... Chethan - i understood his mail tht his Master's degree is recognised for educational points but 10points are not allocated for English language so i am recommending here to use his master's degree for educational points and Bachelors degree for english points if thye are recognised.. hope i am in line with the answer required for the question;chetanojha wrote:I think his Degree is recognised but 10 points for English language is not awarded by the PBS calculator.
On the second thought Sandeepak, are you selecting option(checkbox) to use the same degree for English Calculations while calculating poings?
Given the information in the initial post, I have presumed he tried his degrees(including bachelors and masters) though member never mentioned which degree he tried in the calculator..hence adviced him below:tvn_ramesh wrote:Chethan - i understood his mail tht his Master's degree is recognised for educational points but 10points are not allocated for English language so i am recommending here to use his master's degree for educational points and Bachelors degree for english points if thye are recognised.. hope i am in line with the answer required for the question;chetanojha wrote:I think his Degree is recognised but 10 points for English language is not awarded by the PBS calculator.

i presumed it as masters again thinking he is initial new applicant and masters is the min degree required to qualify..chetanojha wrote: Given the information in the initial post, I have presumed he tried his degrees(including bachelors and masters) though member never mentioned which degree he tried in the calculator..hence adviced him below
I tried selecting the same qualifications and it is not working.Other option is to get a letter from your Degree Awarding Body i.e. University, that your medium of instruction was in English. This will work as an evidence. You can also appear for IELTS.sandeepak wrote:Hi,
I am attaching the screenshot of UKBA assessment report which is about English assessment part:

In this assess. form Radio button is not clicking So please give your valuable suggestion that I should prepare for IELTS or there is other option to qualify for 10 points of English requirement.
Thanks & Regards

How would you prove:chetanojha wrote: I tried selecting the same qualifications and it is not working.Other option is to get a letter from your Degree Awarding Body i.e. University, that your medium of instruction was in English. This will work as an evidence. 189. The degree must:
• be recognised by National Academic Recognition Information Centre for the United Kingdom (UK NARIC) as equivalent to at least a United Kingdom Bachelor’s degree; and
• have been taught in English to a standard comparable to that of level C1 on the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR). Details can be found on the Council of Europe website at http://www.coe.int/t/dg4/linguistic/CADRE_EN.asp.
Guess I didn't understood the question. I provided letter from my University stating my qualifying Bachelor's Degree was taught in english and it was accept.push_hsmp wrote:I dont think its possible. That rule was under old HSMP. They have now inserted this further criteria.chetanojha wrote:Guess I didn't understood the question. Clearly, the degree is recognised by NARIC/PBS as I can see it in the PBS calculator.
I am still thinking about the Letter from your University. Insert one additional statement in the letter that degree was taught in English comparable to the Level C1 on the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR). Though I cannot open the link provide above from guidelines.sandeepak wrote:Dear.
Please suggest me whether I have to give IELTS or what is the other ways to fulfill english language criteria.
Thanks in advance for ur valuable suggestions

I dont think the University will be able to provide such a certificate. IELTS or other prescribed test are the answer.chetanojha wrote:I am still thinking about the Letter from your University. But I am not sue whether your university will issue such certificate. In that case IELTS would be the only option left.
