To change the status from student to dependent

I am in student visa and recently got married in UK. My wife is also in student visa. Her visa expires on June 2010 and mine on Oct 2009. I want to change my status to her dependent. My question is:-
1. What documents do I need to send to the home office?
2. How much maintenance fund should my wife need to show in her bank account and for how many months?
