Maintenance in FD.Letter doesn't state abt withdrawal

Post by anubhav78 » Wed Jul 29, 2009 11:44 am

Hi gurus,

I'm applying for tier-1 from Mumbai VFs.
I had a query on Maintenance of funds.
ICICI has something called as linked deposits which provide you with the facility to withdraw this money through your ATM card.
I qualify for maintenance if these linked deposits are considered.

This is the format of letter which ICICI is ready to give:

"This is to confirm that Mr xxx maintains a Saving Account relationship with ICICI Bank vide A/c no xxxxxxx since xxxx whose balance as on xxx is Rs.6,00,000 which includes linked fixed deposit of Rs.3,00,000.

The balance in Mr. xxxx a/c no. xxxxx(same as above) has not gone below Rs.3,00,000 for the period xxx to xxx(3 months) "

There is no mention of the withdrawal rights on this letter.
My queries
1. Do they consider Fixed deposits for maintenance qualification.
2. If yes, will this letter suffice.

Thanks,
Anubhav

Even i am having trouble in getting the letter in desired format from ICICI they are not ready to deviate from the standard format they have and that doesnt mention that the FD can be encashed at anytime on request.

Pls let me know if anyone has got the FD letter from ICICI bank. Thanks.
