samfrmleeds,

Try to look into this thread for details on who's affected by citizenship bill:

If you still have questions after reading the bill, then post again.
Cheers

I am in same situation, I am currently on WP and I can apply for ILR based on 10 year legal stay in September 2011 and Based on 5 years on WP in July 2012. I have gone through the thread and the information has gone pretty much over my head. I am confused if these rules will affect me or not ?

Also I am now eligible for Teir 1 and can apply for it, I am happy with my current employer but due to circumstances in job market I want to get Teir 1. Should I apply for Teir 1 given the new bill and will it affect me if I switch to Teir 1?

Would really appreciate if someone could give me a simple explanation, I am not very good at understanding legal stuff :)

Thanks.
