Old HSMP ILR JR - 2 yrs more for citizenship?

Post by Rex » Tue Aug 04, 2009 6:31 pm

I have got ILR in July 2009 under HSMP ILR JR, when can I apply for naturalization considering new citizenship bill.

My solicitor said we have to complete total of 6 year living in UK before we can apply for citizenship.

Moderators, please let me know if this applies to us or we can apply after 12 months on ILR.

applications for naturalisation can be submitted after 5years stay as long as you have had ILR for at least 1year. so next year you should be able to apply if all the other conditions are met.
