Maintenance Funds in Chequing account, does that count?

Post by Spirea28 » Mon Aug 10, 2009 12:21 pm

Hi all, would really appreciate your advise/confirmation....

Basically I have the £800 maintance funds for a consective 3 months period in my Canadian Chequing account - I read on the guidance notes that it must be in savings accounts/current accounts and other accounts are not acceptable. How about Chequing Accounts and Term Deposit?

Many thanks!

From the definition of chequing account(i must admit I didn't knew what chequing account it before so I googled), I should be accepted. There is no reason why it should not be accepted. If Fixed Deposits are accepted why not chequing account. Looks fine to me.

Definition: Chequing accounts are a safe place to keep money that you plan to use over the next month or so to pay bills and buy things.
