Naturalisation Questions

Hi,

I have got my ILR on 12th Feb 2009.My actual dates for ILR qualify (8th march 2004 - 8th march 2009) five years on work permit.According to the currently we can apply 28 before for my ILR.

I have the following questions

1) When can i apply for my naturalisation after 12th Feb 2010 or after 8th march 2010

2) My daughter(Born outside UK) is on settlement visa .Once i become naturalised can i apply BC for my daughter or not?

1/ 12 Feb 2010. At the moment naturalisation is after 5years stay but with minimum of 1year on ILR
2/ Daughter can apply at the same time as you do

Your date for naturalization application should be on or after 8th March 2010 considering your first entry date of 8th March 2004----a residential requirement is that if HO has received your application on 8th March 2010, you would have to show that you were in the United Kingdom on 8th March 2005 i.e you must be present in UK 5 years before of this date)

Same is valid for 12th February 2010 if you were present in UK on 12th February 2005 which I suppose you were not present.

A) Thanks for your reply.Yes,indeed i am in UK ( on 12th feb 2005) but on businness visa.I am not sure they will consider that as stay or not.

Same is valid for 12th February 2010 if you were present in UK on 12th February 2004 which I suppose you were not present.

If you in UK legally on 12 Feb 2005 then you are ok for applying on 12 Feb 2010. This is because you would have been present for at least 5years and also held ILR for at least 1year.
