Thank you

Just a quick note to say thank you for the excellent guidance I received here in December.

Summary: I'm disabled, unable to work at the moment, supported by DLA, IS and HB; wife Canadian, also disabled and a full time student.

We got turned down initially with our application for a spouse visa. We put an appeal in straight away. We sent a letter going through point by point of the refusal explanation (it ended up at 4 pages), provided all additional documentation they asked for and explaining politely where we thought the ECO had interpreted the law incorrectly (providing references).

We won the appeal at the reconsideration stage in under 2 weeks. In total from submitting the visa + biometrics to getting entry clearance took 12 weeks.

Hooray!

Well done and congrats to you both. You have done well for yourself. Can you give us an idea of what you wrote and how you argued you points, just in case someone wants to do the same in circumstances similar to yours

Thanks
