Weekend Help Please

Post by green t » Sat Aug 15, 2009 11:00 am

hi.
I've just finished BA(Hons) and am intending to stay in the UK for longer.
Because I've heard the form is very complicated, I went to see a solicitor yesterday.
He said that it has been changed and I cannot apply for tier1 unless I've got MAs (BA's no use). And gave me a few ways of staying here such as business visas.
But I'm sure I can apply for Tier1 (Post-study Work) can't I?
Can you think of a reason why he said no?
Or did he just not know about it?
It's sat today and can't call him to check.
But I cannot wait wondering untill monday; it's killing me.
Please please help me ASAP.
Thanks so much

yes you can definately apply for the tier1 visa. I have no clue wh
y the solicitor said so, may be he dont know about the different visa ctegories. You can apply for the PSW visa provided you make the application before one year of completion of your studies and you have 800 pounds continouslyin yor savings for 3 months period.
Go throuh this link and et all the detials of applying for psw visa.

I dont think you need a solicitor to make your application as it is fairly simple process.

Nemath

2. Tier 1 general needs a master degree
3. Tier 1 PSW u can use both masters and the bachelors
4. U r fine to apply for PSW with u qualification.
5. U really need to read the form and the guidence for PSW.
6. U do not need any solicitor to apply as its a very simple form.

dude first of all if u are educated enough than u dont need a SOLICITOR to fill up your form. the form is preety much simple. look at the guidelines and consult this forum in case u need any help.
regarding PSW u can apply for it BUT u cant apply for Tier 1 (G) later on BUT u can apply for Tier 2...

Weekend Help Please

Thanks so much guys.
I think the solicitor was more specialised in business immigration issues and not personal or even students...
I've just looked at the form.
There are some documents I need to get from my previous school but it looks ok.
again, thanks!

U do not need so many documents.

1. One letter from the institution with all the required information for PSW
2. U award letter or final exam board notification letter
3. Did u study at a college or university as if u study from the college then u also need a letter from the university regarding u award
4. If u study from the university then an award letter confirmation from the university
