Is ther any way to extend working holiday maker visa

Hi All,

I have a friend who has working holiday maker visa till June 2010.
Can he get Tier-1 visa applied here??
He is working with some hotel here in London and they have given a contract of employment till June 2010, but are not willing to sponsor his work permit(Tier-1).
He wants to find if there is any way to get the Tier-1 visa processed by any agency here??
BTW, he doesent have a Master's degree, so he cant apply for HSMP despite he has 9 yrs of work exp.
Pls. let me know if anyone with the same situation or any expert's advise is very welcome.

I think ur a bit confused, AIUI Tier 1 is essentially the old HSMP, Tier 2 is similar for the old Work Permit.

AFIAK Tier 1 doesn't need a Masters Degree.

AFAIK = As Far As I Know...

For Tier 1, you friend needs to earn 75 points based on Degree, Age and Earnings, it's all on the UKBA website.

Unfortunately I'm sure ur friend can't switch from WHM, he'll have to apply from his home country.

Also does he know he should only work one year out of the two on WHM?
