Post by imi999 » Sat Aug 22, 2009 3:39 pm

Hi i am first time to this forum hope would get treasure of information.
I am on Tier 1 PSW(expiry October-2010) On the Bases of Post Graduate Diploma In management studies from LONDON INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE(B Rated) home office register.
Currently I am working for a security Company for last 10 months and my yearly income is 24000£ (Est). But my employer who is a multinational company but not in the sponsership register.
I have used H.O points based calculator and found out points as

PSW switching 30 points
24000 £ earning 20 points
Qualification PGD 10 points (London International College in List and Accepted)

Total 60 points
Required 50 points for Tier 2

Also claiming
English Qualification 10 points PGD (Accepted)
Maintinance 10 Points

Now some one said that as rules have been changed so u can only apply for Tier 2 if u have Masters Degree
Your employer Must have SPONSER SHIP LICENCE
ALSO GOT WIFE AND 3 DAUGHTERS AS MY DEPENDANT ON PSW AND HAVE ENOUGH MAINTINANCE FUND.
PLEASE GUIDE ME
YOUR ANTICIPATION MUCH APPRICIATED

COS is Cerificate of Sponsorship.

Also check whether your salary is matching with Occupation codes of practice listed by home office.

as you are already on PSW, you should not go for sponsorship license or labour market test. you can straight away claim 30 points for being on PSW. no need to worry, you can easily claim required 50 points. see the points calculator on UKBA site. good luck.

Hi

I think some body gave you incorrect info, master degree only applicable for Tire 1 (HSMP) not Tire 2 (work permit).
you are right, for PG diploma u will get 10 points, so u already making more than 50 points,
ask ur employer to apply for Cos..

good luck
