Does anyone know whether Fixed Deposits are allowed to satisy the maintenance points ??

Iam confused as some says NOT and some says YES

Hope someone can help Thanks

Hi

Better you should read Tier4 Guideline carefully.

It clearly say what evidence you need for maintenance and my answer is YES.

Pl. see in Tier-4 Migrant Guidance

29. our money must be held in cash.
Shares, bonds, pension funds and similar savings accounts will not be accepted.

Fixed Deposit. Certificates which are valid only upon clearance of cheques will need to be accompanied by a letter from the bank confirming the availability of funds. You will not need to submit your fixed deposit certificates/receipts if you have a suitable letter from the bank dated no
more than one month prior to the date of your application.
