urgent advise for family EC

I have been approved for hsmp and have taken the EC effective 15th June, my spouse and 2 children aged 16 and 12 are not planning to join me for at least 1 year due to education, disposal of property, please advise what kind of problems I am likely to encounter while applying for their EC after a year, this is assuming that I get extension by another 3 years after the first year. Please advise urgent Thanks
