It was discussed that use of PENCIL is good for both you and the case worker..

1. Will avoid any chances of looking manupulated
2. You can always correct if u marked the wrong one..
3. Keeps the authenticity of the bankstatement intact..
4. Solves the purpose also..

I used fluoroscent highlighter for my application. But don't think I can justify better than tvn here. Well put.

I used small sticky labels during my initial HSMP application.
But its better not to do anything with the bank statements.

I just mentioned the bank page numbers in the cover letter this time when I applied for extension.

As long as case worker manage to find the details we want to present, it is fine.

As long as your marking does not make the figures illegible or look manipulated there is no problem.

AAH!! most things depend on case workers or we can say LUCK. I know a person whose application was rejected only because of highlighting that part with a pen, they said it was forged. But highlighting with fluorescent pen or putting some small stickly labels appear to be good ideas. I was also going to put this thread that what should I do to highlight the credited salary?

I used a highlighter in my bank statements. But instead of highlighting the text, I put a big dot next to it.
It went fine.
