EEA national when i can apply for british passport?

hi guys
Im polish national living and working sinc 2006 in UK.my question is when i ll be eligble to start my naturalisation procedure,as Im register in worker registration scheme since November 2007,so that 6 years s counted since i ve received my registration certificate or since i came to UK 2006 as first year i work which i can provve by my payslips just wanst register.?

The other question is do i need to apply for residence card prior to naturalisation process or it isnt necessary as i confiused getting diffrent informations?
