In UK the most common way of swearing is in form of Statutory DEclaration which can be done through any Solicitor who are Commissioner of Oath.

Tx a bunch for the reply...

Just spoke to a solicitor, he says if we know the matter we can type it our self and get the stamp paper to him and he would sign the same.
As we know the matter( format is given to us), we were planning to buy stamp paper and take a print on it and get it signed by him...

Any idea where do we get the stamp papers?? :) do we call it stamp papers here or some other name?? jus curious to know..

Yeah.. I am now trying in gumtree.. lets see...

Do it on plain paper. I dont think we use stamp papers here like back home. The wording of Stat Dec is very important. It cannot just be a simple statement. better get it drafted by a solicitor.

PS: SOlicitor who draft such doc is not legally allowed to witness it.

Oh is that so? Just plain paper??
yeah... I already have a UK kinda draft( from some other solicitor, he is out of town so he is asking us to get it done by others)...
I will call the new solicitor and get details from him..
Thanks for the comments...
