Please help me with the question..I am on a residence card in the UK and i live and work here with my family..I just want to know what the requirements for getting a british passport is.. Cos i get different information and i'm really confused right now..

You need to be a British national to get a British passport.

I think you're referring to naturalisation as a British citizen, and subsequently getting a British citizen passport.
