Date of travel

Post by hiteshdargan » Fri Oct 09, 2009 12:17 pm

Hi

In VAF9, on which date do you intend to travel.

Let's say I mention 25 december 2009.

Will my VISA start from 25/12/2009 or from the day i get it stamped on my passport ?

If i am applying on 12/10/09, what can be the last intended date of travel?

You can request for a delayed validity visa but it is on the discretion of the visa officer to grant this to you.

Not sure about what is the maximum you can request as delay, but I would avoid more than 3 months, if nothing else then for the 3 month window they allow in letting you choose any 12 of the last 15 months for your earnings.
Please do not send me any Private Messages as I do not check these.

You are right Cheshiregoan, date of travel can be post-dated for up to three months if you do not plan to travel immediately.

Hi

Got my Tier 1 visa, I had mentioned date of travel as 10 January 2010, but the visa issued to me is valid from 9/11/2009.

Is there anything I can do about this
