HSMP to Tier1 Extension

Post by moganlal » Tue Oct 13, 2009 2:08 pm

Hi All,
Here are my details:
i) My HSMP was valid till 17th Oct 2009.
ii) As per their recommendation I applied for extension on 17th Setp 2009.
iii) Post reached them on 18th Oct 2009.
iv) Fee deducted on 21st Oct 2009.
v) Got letter that they are processing on 22nd Oct 2009.
vi) Got approval 09th Oct 2009.
vii) Received documents on 10th Oct 2009.

I had taken maternity break of 6 months and I did show my previous earnings outside these 6 months.
This forum was immensely helpful to me and I'm happy to help any of the other members on maternity break situation with the letter formats.

Though many have applied earlier than one month, I did not as it would have given me 10 extra points as my date of birth was nearer to my extension and I didn't want to risk applying early and giving rise to doubts about applying early to gain extra points.
As long as you are not gaining any undue points because of applying early you can go ahead and apply early I think.

thanks,
Mrs Mogan
