Payment options at Pune VAC by Demand Draft

Post by just_in_time » Thu Oct 15, 2009 2:40 pm

Dear All,

I am planning to file Tier 1 General from Pune. My questions:

1. Has any one paid using the Banker's cheque issued by Standard Chartered or Demand Draft issued by other banks(HDFC, ICICI etc) ?

2. What happens if the fee changes after i get the Demand Draft/Banker's cheque issued in advance(say a week in advance of application filing date)?

3. Is there any lock in period for fee change to avoid such problems?

Thanks for your response in advance.

The bank will issue a banker's cheque in favour of the British High Commission or British Deputy High Commission which will be valid for presentation with your application at a visa application centre for 6 months from the date of issue.

Thanks mvent00 for your response.

My doubt is : What if fee changes after i get the DD from bank?
In that case i will have to check the fee on the SAME day of the application filing and if it is different than already issued DD, i have to go for new DD !

It is a big problem..

I have no experience about DD, but to avoid any mishap you can use either option 1 or 3 on this page.
