UK Driving License for age proof.

Hi All,

I am applying for HSMP extension this month. I have a question for my age proof.

1. Can i use UK FULL driving license as a age proof?
2. If Yes, then can I send color photocopy of driving licnese as I am bit hesitant to send original license.

You must send the original. Be careful, this can be a proof only if you can not send your passport for a reason which is specified in the form or guideline.

if you can send ORIGINAL passport, degree certificates, payslips.. etc.. then why so much concerned about sending Original Driving license??

Dont worry everything would be fine.. send all Original documents(where manadatory) and avoid unnecessary rejections by sending duplicates..

As per guidance, only passport is enough to claim points for age. Driving licence could be sent in exceptional cases, for instance, your passport is lost, stolen, expired and returned to issuing government, submitted to another agency. If your sending your Passport it has your D.O.B in?! Who told you that you needed to send a driving Licence?

As per the guidance notes you are required to send your passport with the application form and that fulfils the age requirement for the application as passport is a valid evidance for the proof of age.
