EEA2 - self-employed EU family member - please help

Post by alinna » Tue Oct 27, 2009 8:38 pm

Hi guys,

After 1 month of joy here i am, again looking for answers.

One month ago me and my partner gor the COA and few days back we got married :)
Now he has 3 months of legal residence in the uk as stated in the letter that came with the COA, during which he has to apply for his residency card.

I am european, 25 and came here 2 yrs ago.
My nationality is romanian, so i can only work on a self-employed basis. And my worries start here.

Can he apply for his RC if during the time i spent in the UK i was only self-employed? As i heard i should have 12 month of full time employment.....

Does it affect his application the fact that i receive working tax credit?
Do i have to apply for a residency card myself?

Any other information would be very helpful.
Thanks a lot!
