HSMP extension approved

Post by ugurevin » Wed Apr 28, 2004 1:08 pm

Dear All,

I would like to let you know about the timing for HSMP extension. There are timing info for new HSMP applications but I haven't seen any specific one for the extension. Here is what I experienced:

- Sent my docs via Special Delivery on April 13
- Got an acknowledge letter from HSMP on April 15 (this letter states that a case worker will be assigned to my case, etc.)
- I got my documents back w/ a further 3-year extension on April 28
==========
Total: 15 days

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Ugur

Ugu

Congratulations,

I some how suspected that the 'timeline' for renewals is much shorter

For the benefit of HSMP aspirants, what documentatin did you provide for renewal?

Many thanx

PS. you got acknowledge letter from HSMP two days later??? I assume that you sent your FLR (IED) to Cannock??
Where there is a will there is a way.

Thanks Chess.

These are the docs I sent to Cannock:

- Covering letter
- FLR(IED) + pics
- Passports
- No money (Turkish citizen)
- Pay slips + my wife's pay slips
- Employment letter (useful I think - shows my job/seniority and area of work)
- Marriage cert
- Birth cert (my child)
- Bank statements (since I came to the UK - 9 months - haven't sent full 12 months)
- Police registration cert (was required for us)
- Car registration (not required)

FYI: I started working in a senior position 6 weeks after I came to the UK. The salary I am getting is the same as I predicted when I first filled out the HSMP appl. form. In addition my wife started to work about the same time as mine in a senior position.

Thanks,
Ugur

Ugur,

Congrats on your extension. I am up for extension, too. My first year leave to enter ends on 30 June. How early did you apply, and what is Cannock? That destination is not shown on the FRL. Many thanks for your help.

I applied for the extension just one month before my leave expires. You need to fill out form FLR(IED) from April 1st.

Thanks,
Ugur

Did they give you 3 year extension on their own or you asked for it?
