selecting a solicitor/agency is a tricky business and all depends on your particular circumstances and requirements. I've discussed some of the nuances in my main post

put briefly and in order of difficulty,

1 - if you just want your docs checked, most will be fine so just go along with a personal recommendation & price

2 - if you are appealing and your case is simple same as (1)

3 - if you are appealing and your case is tricky, vet your solicitors carefully, meet them, and make an informed decision

4 - if you are going down the JR route, want a quick turn around, then there are lots of factors to consider which I mention in my main post
