Email Acknowledgement

Hello all-

When I sent in my application at the end of May (043XXX) I ticked the box for email notification of receipt of application. I received that email, with my applicant number. I see that some people on here got notification of a decision being made- was that because you also ticked the box?

no thats not the reason.
most people request update on their cases thru emails or phoning the HO
some are just told a decision has been made while others are told what kind of decision was made.
