Has anyone changed from Tier 2 to Tier 4?

Post by cargl » Tue Dec 01, 2009 10:53 am

Hi,

I was made redundant 4 months ago (under tier 2) and I am changing to a Tier 4 (it's too difficult to find a sponsor under tier 2 willing to meet the labour test and publish the position in the Job Center...take ages), I am changing to Tier 4 because I want to complete a Master program and then apply for Tier 1 (General); I have submitted my application yesterday.

I have talked to my previous employer and they haven't sent any notification to the Home Office therefore my immigration lawyer confirmed that I wouldn't get any inquiry or problem from the HO (hopefully not).

My question is if you had experienced a similar situation?, have any of you changed to tier 4 after being made redundant?

Thank you
