Spouse's visa - 'date intend to leave UK'?

Post by junai » Mon Dec 07, 2009 9:23 am

We are in the process of applying for spouse's visa and have been filling out the online application. There is a question on the application that asks "What date do you intend to leave the UK"? As this is a settlement application my fiance does not intend to leave the UK. The online application will not allow you to leave this section blank - you have to put a date on it. What should we put? At the moment we have just put a ridiculous date in the future - sometime in 2109 - is this acceptable or is there some sort of set date that you are supposed to put for settlement (something like 01/01/1900)?

You're right that the online application won't allow you to leave this blank.
As you've already suggested....put a hypothetical date way in the future...it will be fine.
