Is anyone aware that appointments are no longer available for anyone wishing to apply for ILR on the basis of 10 year rule from 1st of Jan 2010? :(

The Immigration Rules are being amended to provide that applications for leave to remain or settlement on the basis of long residence will no longer be considered at a UK Border Agency Public Enquiry Office

The changes will come into effect on 1 January 2010

has anyone heard anything else?is this for real that the 10 year long resident....ILR no longer exists?

What the statement meant was "no public enquiry". That is it has to be by post.

No more same day ILR.
