Dep. visa(extn) still processing & employer has queries

I am on dependent HSMP visa & have sent it for extension on Nov 19 and am still awaiting reply from UKBA about the outcome. i have received an acknowledgement letter from UKBA about the extension visa
on 25th Nov 2009.

i have recently attended job interview and the prospective employer is concerned about....

1. Can i work if my husband is not working in UK but is still under HSMP/Tier1 ? How can i prove that it is true ?

Also, Can you provide me links to UKBA website please?
