applied for HSMP & passport renewal

I need advice on above subjected matter .
I applied for HSMP in march end & still waiting for decision . My present passport is expiring in near future . I need to renew my passport . Please advice me what to do ? If I renew my present passport [ its number will changed ] then I have to inform [ submit copy of it ] it to hsmp team or wait for their decision [ approval letter ] & then inform .

I think when you would have applied for HSMP, you would have read the form that it is not necessary to send PAssport, however "if you wish" you could send a photo copy of it. So, if your passport number changes (you still will have the old passoport in your hands) it is not going to have any implication on your HSMP or process at HO.
