£1600 or £533 in bank statement

Post by psw2009 » Mon Dec 28, 2009 12:07 am

hi guyz,

I have taken below data from border & immigration website could you please explain the below data which is bold as home office saying that evidence that there is £1600 (or £533 if you have been in the UK for more than 12 months)
i am living in Uk for more than 3 years but i have been to pak for two months in august-2009 which condition will apply on me do i have to show £1600 or £533 because what making me confuse is that home office may be refering to a continue stay for 12 months is it so or my three year stay in the UK is ok to show £533 bank statement.
i shall b very thankful to you.

What supporting documents should my dependants include with their application?

Your dependants should include all the documents necessary to show that they qualify for entry to the UK as your dependant. If they do not, we may refuse their application.

As a guide, your dependants should include:

evidence of their relationship to you;
evidence that there is £1600 (or £533 if you have been in the UK for more than 12 months) for each dependant, in your or their personal bank account for maintenance, and that the money has been there for at least 3 months prior to the date they make their application; and
a copy of the pages from your passport/travel document showing your permission to stay, if you are already in the UK.

This fund refers to a dependant of the applicant.

It doesn't matter if you have been to Pak, the cost will be £533 providing the dependant has been in the UK for at least 12 months.

The applicant cost is £800

So if the applicant and the dependant have been in the UK for more than 12 months (forget about the breaks to Pakistan in between). The minimum fund of £1333 has to been shown for the last 3 months at the time you make your PSW application.

To be on the safe side, you need to show you had £1333 available every day in your bank. This amount can be an accumulation of balances from different bank accounts within the UK and abroad.

Remember, your dependant's bank account will not do unless it was a joint account.

I hope this helps.

You have been in the UK for more than 12 months so the dependant fee will be £533 for last 3 months.

Good Luck :)

Hi psw 2009
I am from india, when i applied for my wif's visa i showed 4000 pounds in my account,
basically minimum amount is 533, but you need to satisfy the case worker that you have enough funds to bring ur dependants to uk,
If you show more funds you have more chances of getting visa.
