Work Permit to HSMP

Post by milz » Tue Aug 09, 2005 11:56 pm

dear all,

I wish to apply for my HSMP by the end of August. I am worried about the uncertainities associated with the NEW Points system. I do qualify in the under 28 category. I have been on a Work Permit since September 2002 (for a Work permit for 5 years).

My question is: IF my HSMP application is 'REJECTED', will I be able to continue on my Work Permit? Can I continue to work for my current employer? Do you think that it will affect my ILR application in August 2006?

HSMP points:

Under 28 years old: 5 points
UK Bachelors degree (Bsc): 15 points
Earning power (earning £28,000 annually): 25 points
2 years of work experience: 25 points

Total: 70 points.

Many thanks for your input.

if you are refused the hsmp.. your work permit will not be jeopardized in any way.
But since u have been in the Uk for a while , i dont think your application will have any problems that is if u package it well .
Please read previous posts on this site and the guidance notes very well.
workingintheuk.gov.uk
has many new info to help you in packaging your application.

most people have problems with proving work experience and earnings..
but i dont think you should.
