PSW with pg diploma.

Hi,


I got my results yesterday and i have been awarded a pg diploma level 7.
it is a course in accounting and finance.. !!
I have started my course in sep 2008 and there was a change in rules of psw in march 2009. the rule says tht pg diploma is not permitted to apply for psw.
but does this apply for students who are registered in course before march 2009? pls suggest.

note: there are no points in HO website related to my query.

PGC/PGD are not acceptable in order to apply for PSW, from 31st March,2009, irrespective of the starting date of the course.

so shud i leave to my home country now ?
cus my visa is expiring on jan 31.
or do i have any other go to stay in UK ?

U wont get PSW but why dont u try to apply for student visa?

Why don't you apply to another University and finish up your MSc. There are some Uni that can offer you a place to write your dissertation... I think that's the best option for you to get PSW. There are still some Uni that can offer you Jan/Feb admission, if you get an offer... You can renew your student visa to finish up your dissertation.

Masters Degree

Hi dewales001..
I am in a same situation, I did my PG Diploma and on PSW now, but as Home Office requirements I can’t apply for Tier 1 (General) unless I have got masters degree.
I was searching for the universities and colleges where from I can do my Dissertation from. I have seen that you have advised Kris555 to get Masters by just doing dissertation, can you please if you don’t mind suggests any colleges or any universities name, where from I can do my dissertation and can get Masters.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
