Post by rogerq » Sun Jan 10, 2010 8:17 pm

hi everyone

my wife and stepson (both indonesian) are applying for a us tourist visa (both have been granted uk residency but not citizenship yet).

does anyone have any advice to help us through the procedure? We have booked an interview and filled out the online forms so far.

thank you

don't lie and have a lot of proof that you won't be overstaying in the us. Family ties, employment, study etc...

For employment proof, pay slips and a letter from the employer stating when they want you back at work.

If you're studying, the acceptance letter and maybe some proof that you've been attending.

If you desire the process to go as smoothly as possible, then hiring a good immigration attorney can benefit you in many ways. Not only will this help you to be able to gain entry into the United States without much hardship, it will also assist you to be able to steer clear of any pitfalls that could slow the process along as you are applying for citizenship.
