Post by chandu_246 » Thu Jan 21, 2010 12:20 am

Hi All,

I am working in UK in a Permanent job from the last 5 months and want to apply for dependent VISA for my wife and kid.

Following are the docs. I am planning to submit

For My Wife :

• Dependent Application - VAF 10 Form duly filled and signed.
• Passport of dependant
• Photographs
• Marriage Certificate as Relationship Evidence
• Sponser letter from Main applicant
• Last 3 Months Bank statements
• Maintenance Fund evidence letter shwoing GBP 800 + 1600 + 1600 = 4000 GBP
• Copies of My first, last and VISA pages of Main Applicant's passport(Is Notary Required???).
• Employment Letter
• Last 3 months pay slips.
• Tenancy agreement

For My Son :

Dependent Application - VAF 10 Form duly filled and signed.
• Passports of dependant
• Photographs
•Birth Certificate as Relationship and Date of Birth Proof.
• Sponser letter from Main applicant
• Last 3 Months Bank statements
• Maintenance Fund evidence letter shwoing GBP 800 + 1600 + 1600 = 4000 GBP
• Copies of My first, last and VISA pages of Main Applicant's passport(Is Notary Required???)..
• Employment Letter
• Last 3 months pay slips.
• Tenancy agreement

Questions:

1.My kid is 8 months old and my wife has to fill in the application form on behalf of my son.At the end of the application there is a place for Parent signature for under 18 years. My wife will sign there as she is filling the form. Then there is an Applicant signature field.I am leaving the Applicant's signature field blank.Am I correct?

2.Should I submit the cover letters for my wife and son???

3.Should I produce 2 copies of docs for both the dependants or 1 copy would do??

4.Could some body give me sponser letter format?

5.I am maintaining the balance in Indian bank account and my bank statement and fund maintenance letter will be from Indian Banks.Do I also need to submit bank statements of my Uk Bank account?

Your suggessions and clarifications will be appreciated.

Following is the sentence I requested the Landlord to add in the Tenancy agreement and she did the same.

The property is more particularly described as follows: Two Double bed rooms, Living area, Spam, Bathroom and toilet. The property is for the exclusive use of the Tenant and his family. Subject to the provisions of this agreement, apart from the Tenant and his family, no other persons will live in the Property without the prior written permission of the Landlord.

Hi Chandu,

I am also in same situation as yours. Preparing to apply for my wife and daughter.
Just one question for maintenance fund documents. In case we are submitting original bank statement, which we get by post, do we still need to get letter from bank stating the same?

Ramesh, can you please suggest.

Thanks in Advance

Hi All,

I am applying for Tier1 dependant for my wife and kid. When filling up the application, I got 2 questions.

1.when is the job or course of study expected to finish?

Some where in the Forum I read that one can give TIER1 Visa Expiry date. That makes sense for me.But is that true?

2.In the Main Applicant's details, I have given name and surname. In my passport in the place of surname, I have my fullname incluing the
surname. So now how should I fill in the application.Should I fill in surname and given names as normal or according to my passport.
I applied for my TIER1 thru consultant.So I don't remember, what I have given.

3.In VAF10 Dependent form,Do I need to fill in the last page "Annex A - Supporting Documents Checklist"?

Appreciate your help and answers.

Regards,
Chandra

I am applying for Tier1 dependant for my wife and kid. When filling up the application, I got 2 questions.

1.when is the job or course of study expected to finish?

Some where in the Forum I read that one can give TIER1 Visa Expiry date. That makes sense for me.But is that true?

- Yes you can give it as it make sense with Tier1(G) you can move into different jobs till ur visa is valid

- Fill it as normal as long as you cover all ur name and nothing is xtra to worry

3.In VAF10 Dependent form,Do I need to fill in the last page "Annex A - Supporting Documents Checklist"?

- Yes please fill the checlist for Dependent form seperately (in worst case if it gets rejected.. HO/Caseworker know what documents have come along with or supporting that application..

Appreciate your help and answers.

Chandra

Just one question for maintenance fund documents. In case we are submitting original bank statement, which we get by post, do we still need to get letter from bank stating the same?

Ramesh, can you please suggest.

Thanks in Advance

tvn_ramesh,

Thanks for your answers.

My wife went to VFS chennai Today to apply for dependent Visa for her and Kid.VFS people didn't take the application quoting the following reasons.

1)My wife tried to submit marriage certificate as proof of marriage and people at VFS asked for Marriage Invitation and Marriage photos.

2)My 3 months bank statement doesn't have many transactions and so it is just one paper and so they asked for seperate statement for each month.I can get one statemnt for each of 3 months. Is that a big concern not having many transactions? As I am in UK for last 6 months, I just used it for Maintenace funds and nothing else.I am bit worried now.

Experts please comment.

It is not in the guidelines, but as it is just guidelines (you should be able to submit the photos and marriage Invitation)

It is absurd from VFS. In this case, try getting a letter from the bank in their official letterhead stating the money was maintained by you for atleast three months and the same amount has not dropped even on a single day

Experts please comment.

Hi Vks,

Thanks for your answers.

1.I have the marriage inviation and photogrphs and no problem with that.

2.Fund maintenance letter from Bank is already part of the documentation.Even then they want seperate bank statements for each of the 3 months. So I am arranging separate bank statements for 3 months.

Chandra

1. Invitation n photos makes some sense..

2. But separate statements for each month is really meaningless..

Vfs centers are acting as caseworkers.. but we have make these vfs gate keepers to move the application further;
