15 working days and no Visa from Islamabad ??

Post by Rain » Mon Jan 25, 2010 4:43 pm

Hello all
My mother applied for a family visit visa on 4th of January.2010.It is a straight forward application,as far as I understand.
I am sponsoring entire trip, I own the house, have ILR , annual pay of £30k and funds available of 10k.
My mother has every reason to go back, my younger brother and sisters ,my father are dependent on her.

IT HAS BEEN 3 WEEKS AND ON LINE STATUS OF APPLICATION STILL SAYS
"Application date 1/4/2010
"Status Application Forwarded to Islamabad OC on "

My mother is visiting us because my wife is pregnant. Obviously we want my mum to be with us ASAP. My questions are

1)Is this time scale quite normal . As per their website they decide 89% applications in 15 days?
2)Is their any email address /phone number for Abu Dhabi/Islamabad where I can contact them and explain the situation so they can be a bit quicker.
Thanks in anticipation

I think you need to be patient.

Dont take the Home Office figures for granted. Visit visas take anything from 4-8 weeks......... and unfortunately most of them still end up being refused

BHC Islamabad is taking long to issue visas..So be patience and hopefully you would get visa in 8 weeks time...

Dont go with processing times as these are for showing..

Oh that's a shame. I was hoping to learn by example for when we apply for my father-in-laws visit. We won't be applying yet but still thought it would be worth gaining knowledge on the application process
