Have a query for one of my frds ...

Is a step son considered as Tier1 dependent? I mean to say , a child from the previous marriage of the wife. they are married now and wife has a child from her prev marriage & the child is living with them and she has the court orders saying that she is the sole parental responsibilities. Can this child( step child ) be a dependent of her present Hubby..

I believe yes, the child can be a dependent of his step-father for the purpose of entry / stay in the UK.
